Art and Life

Welcome to Screen Expressions. The focal point of my art career for over thirty years has been Fine Art Screen Printing. I have pioneered the use of a non-toxic screen printing process which uses materials that are beneficial to the environment and one's health.
The imagery in my work is a journey through my life experiences and I hope you enjoy journeying through the work. The style and color palette I've used has changed over the years. In earlier years black and white imagery predominated, but this limited color palette has morphed in to an expressionistic use of color.
I tend to work in series of images related to a theme, usually with a humanistic context. Art and life are intertwined. Art is a medium for expressing my feelings about a broad range of events in my past that continue to shape my life today. I am available to teach screen printing to individuals, and I also organize group workshops in Dublin, Ireland and in the USA.

My Work

For the past twenty years I have lived in the U.S., Ireland and Finland. During this time I taught art and screen printing in second and third level educational institutes and pursued my own work in a studio setting. My imagery and art work tend to deal with social themes and I create a body of work that reflects that theme.

Series of prints include:
  • Post Cards
  • Trying to Get Home
  • Missing Children
  • Cruel Love
  • Irish Landscape
  • Helsinki Summer
  • School Days
  • Text in Translation
